What to expect
How it works |
We start your 12-session camp by meeting with you to determine your
fitness goals and assess your current health and fitness level based on standards developed by the American College of Sports Medicine (flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance). This initial meeting helps us set training goals together and provides a measurement baseline by which to track progress over the course of the camp. We'll also review any injuries and discuss rehabilitation issues that might impact your training. Taking this assessment data into account, we are then able to match you to other camp members with similar fitness levels so you stay motivated and challenged. Our camps are kept intentionally small, which allow us to give personal attention to everyone in the class. You get the benefits of individualized training in a group setting. You'll get a different workout each session, and we offer a combination of cardio training (long distance running, short hill workouts, sprinting on the track, running stairs, etc.) cross-training (agility), and strength training (push-ups, pull-ups, abdominal workouts). Each session ends with stretching.
